The Things We Almost Miss - Bec Talbot
The Things We Almost Miss.
Look a little longer. There’s more hiding here.
The Things We Almost Miss is a little world built from layered colour, texture and expressive marks. Shapes, hints of figures and fragments of places reveal themselves slowly, inviting you to pause and discover something new each time you look.
Working intuitively with acrylic and oil pastel, Bec creates a sense of movement and memory without defining exactly what we’re seeing. Flashes of colour emerge from the layers, like fleeting details caught in passing.
It’s a gentle reminder of how much we can overlook when we’re moving too quickly, the small things that barely register in the moment, yet somehow stay with us.
For Small Wonders, this work is an invitation to slow down and notice what might otherwise slip past.
