Queen Anne’s Lace II continues Giulianna’s fascination with the delicate, umbrella-like forms of this much-loved botanical. Inspired by a walk through Alowyn Gardens in Victoria, the work captures the intricate flower clusters and the tiny ladybirds found nestled amongst them, gathering pollen and settling into their surroundings.

A restrained palette of greens and whites keeps the composition feeling fresh and delicate, punctuated by small touches of red that bring an unexpected energy to the piece. The round canvas echoes the organic shapes of the blooms, creating a simple yet distinctive composition.
