Oval Ortiz. -Emma Sheehan

Oval Ortiz.

Sometimes all it takes is a little colour to make us look twice.

Oval Ortiz, Emma Sheehan turns an everyday Ortiz can into a simple, striking study of colour and form. Set against a backdrop of complementary tones, the familiar object becomes the centre of attention.

The bold yellow and blue palette brings an unexpected energy to the composition, showing how much beauty can be found in the colour combinations hiding in plain sight.

Emma’s playful approach to familiar subjects is at the heart of the work, taking something ordinary and giving it a fresh perspective.

Part of Small Wonders, Oval Ortiz is a reminder that the everyday is full of little visual moments worth noticing.
