Moka pot on a Stack of Tea Towels - Tina Bennett

Moka Pot on a Stack of Tea Towels

Coffee, colour, reflections — and a little bit of everyday nostalgia.

In Moka Pot on a Stack of Tea Towels, Tina Bennett brings together two much-loved everyday objects: a classic Moka pot and a stack of beautifully patterned tea towels.

A coffee lover herself, Tina is drawn to the challenge of capturing the reflections across the different planes of the Moka pot — where light, shape and surrounding colours subtly shift across its surface. The softness and pattern of the tea towels provide the perfect contrast, creating a still life that feels both familiar and beautifully considered.

Based in Geelong and the Surf Coast, Tina’s contemporary oil paintings celebrate the quiet beauty hiding in ordinary things. Her work is rooted in nostalgia, careful observation and a fascination with light and reflection — inviting us to slow down and notice the objects that make up our everyday lives.
