Memory of a Landscape (#2)
Some places stay with us, even when the details begin to disappear.
Memory of a Landscape (#2) explores the way memories of place shift over time, less like a photograph and more like a feeling, a fragment or an impression that stays with us.
Alizon Gray builds her paintings through layers of expressive marks, transparent veils and quieter forms, allowing some moments to emerge while others remain hidden beneath the surface. The result is a landscape that feels sensed rather than defined.
Quietly meditative and open to interpretation, this is a small work about the places we carry with us — and the memories that continue to change.
