Rebecca
A favourite story, seen through colour.
Inspired by one of Marnie McKnight’s favourite novels, Rebecca captures the colours and atmosphere Marnie imagines as she becomes immersed in the story. Rather than illustrating a particular scene, the artwork translates the feeling of reading into an expressive world of colour.
It’s a glimpse into the artist’s own imagination, where words become mood, colour and emotion, and a familiar story takes on a life of its own.
For Small Wonders, Rebecca celebrates the quiet wonder of getting lost in a book and seeing an entire world unfold in your mind.
30 x 30 cm · Original artwork. Acrylic on canvas. COA. Unframed.
