Last Light Through the Gums #1 - Sam Myers
Last Light Through the Gums #1
When the day slows down, the little things become easier to hear.
There’s a particular quiet that arrives at dusk, the streets begin to empty, birdsong seems to sharpen and the day slowly lets go. In Last Light Through the Gums #1, birds cross a deepening evening sky as they make their way home, passing above a canopy of Australian gums waiting for nightfall.
Sam Myer's work explores the contrast between the comfort of home and the untamed world beyond the windows. Here, that world feels calm and close, a fleeting glimpse of birds in flight, silhouetted against the changing sky, reminding us to pause and notice the natural rhythms happening around us.
A beautiful Small Wonder found at the end of an ordinary day: the last light, the sound of birds and that quiet feeling when everything finally slows down.
