Hold Up - Mecah White

Hold Up.

Sometimes the rain changes the way we see everything.

Hold Up takes an ordinary street scene and turns it into something wonderfully unexpected. Through rain-covered glass, a familiar stop sign and one-way arrow become distorted and softened, their shapes bending through the water as though they’re having a conversation.

Artist, Mecah White’s, signature fascination with rain transforms everyday urban details into atmospheric forms. What might normally be overlooked becomes abstract, playful and full of character, a little moment of city life seen through a completely different lens.

For Small Wonders, Hold Up celebrates the beauty of looking twice. Sometimes all it takes is a few drops of rain to turn something ordinary into something worth stopping for.
