In Head In The Clouds, Lizzie Alsop translates the quiet grandeur of the mountains into an abstract landscape of earthy colour, organic shapes and layered textures. Rather than depicting a particular place, the work captures the feeling of looking out across a vast landscape and letting your mind drift.

A combination of acrylic ink, pastel and collaged fabrics creates a tactile surface where shapes and textures appear to shift and unfold. The earthy palette connects the work to Lizzie’s deep relationship with the natural environment, while the abstract forms leave room for your own imagination.

For Small Wonders, Lizzie finds wonder not in a single tiny detail, but in the feeling of getting lost in nature, looking up, slowing down and allowing yourself a moment to simply wander.
