Fish Shop - Megan Bowman

Fish Shop.

A little slice of coastal Queensland.

FISH SHOP is a playful celebration of one of those familiar sights that instantly feels like summer, the humble coastal fish shop. Inspired by the iconic fish shops of Queensland. Artist Megan Bowman, captures the colour, character and easygoing spirit of life by the water.

Working intuitively in acrylic, Megan draws on the textures, colours and memories that come from a life closely connected to the ocean. There’s a sense of nostalgia here, but also plenty of fun, a familiar piece of coastal life transformed into something bright and full of personality.

A perfect Small Wonder: the everyday places and little rituals that become part of our memories without us even realising it.
