Early - Paula Mackay

Early.

A quiet beginning, held in soft light.

Early captures that gentle moment after sunrise, when the day is just beginning and the landscape feels calm and still. Paula uses a restrained palette and minimalist composition to convey the softness of this early light, allowing the simplicity of the seascape to do the talking.

Rather than offering a literal depiction of place, Paula’s work is rooted in the feeling a landscape leaves behind. Here, that feeling is one of stillness, space and possibility, a fleeting moment before the day gathers pace.

A quiet little reminder to slow down and notice the beauty at the beginning of something.
