Days Like These - Ella Martin

Days Like These.

A little horse. A little pattern. A whole lot of feeling.

Days Like These is a small, tactile study of a lone horse surrounded by hand-painted checks in warm, earthy tones. There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about the simplicity of the composition , familiar, playful and just a little imperfect.

Ella Martin’s layered approach gives the work a beautiful sense of texture and depth, with the hand-painted details adding character and warmth. The horse feels almost like a tiny memory, quietly held within its patterned frame.

Part of Small Wonders, this piece celebrates the charm of small things, the textures, imperfections and familiar little details that can bring a surprising sense of joy.
