1. About Droply
Droply is a curated Australian online platform created to support emerging and established artists and makers through thoughtfully curated seasonal collections.
Built by an artist, for artists, Droply focuses on collectible small-format original artworks and handmade objects that are accessible, affordable to ship, and designed to create a cohesive and collectible experience for buyers.
Each seasonal collection centres around a creative theme, allowing artists to interpret the concept in their own unique style and medium while remaining true to their individual practice.

13.Collection Release Structure

Droply operates through four curated seasonal drops per year rather than continuous open listings.

Each collection is built around a unique seasonal theme, inviting artists to create and submit work that responds to the concept in their own individual style and medium.

The four annual collections are designed to provide artists with sufficient time to develop new work while creating anticipation and excitement for collectors.

This structure is designed to:

Create excitement and anticipation

Maintain high-quality curation

Support thoughtful collection building

Encourage intentional collecting

Provide artists with focused promotional opportunities

Allow artists time to create work specifically for each collection theme

Annual Drop Schedule

Autumn Collection
February – March

Winter Collection
May – June

Spring Collection
August – September

Summer Collection
October – November

Artists selected for a collection will receive theme announcements, submission deadlines, and launch timelines well in advance to allow adequate time for planning and creation.

By operating through seasonal releases, Droply aims to create a more meaningful and rewarding experience for both artists and collectors, with each collection feeling like a curated exhibition rather than an ongoing marketplace.

Artwork Listing Duration & Collection Structure
Droply operates through curated seasonal collections rather than permanent, always-changing listings. This approach is designed to create excitement around each launch while also ensuring artists have continued opportunity for sales over time.

Featured Collection Period

Each seasonal collection will be featured on the Droply homepage and actively promoted for a set launch period.
During this time, artworks will receive primary visibility across:
-
The Droply homepage
-
Email marketing campaigns
-
Social media promotion
-
Collection launch features
This is the main promotional period for each collection.

Post-Launch (Archive Listing)

Once a new seasonal collection is released, previous collections will move into the Droply Archive.
Works from past collections will:
-
Remain visible on the website
-
Continue to be available for purchase (if unsold)
-
Be clearly labelled with their original collection name and release date (e.g. “Small Wonders – October 2026”)
-
Receive lower promotional priority compared to the current featured collection
This ensures artworks continue to have long-term visibility beyond their initial launch period.
Why We Use This Structure

This model has been designed to support both artists and collectors:
For artists:
Provides strong exposure during launch periods
Allows artworks to continue selling after the featured window
Reduces pressure for immediate sales within a short drop period
Builds long-term visibility through ongoing archive presence
For collectors:
Creates excitement and urgency around new seasonal releases
Allows ongoing access to past collections they may have missed
Builds a growing library of discoverable artworks over time

Listing Duration

Unless otherwise agreed, artworks will remain listed on Droply for up to 12 months from the original release date.
After this period, Droply may:
Remove the artwork from sale, or
Offer the artist the option to renew the listing
Artists may also request removal of their work at any time with written notice, subject to any active orders or commitments.

14. Community Values

Droply is built on:

Creativity
Respect
Fair artist treatment
Community
Originality
Collaboration

We aim to build a platform where artists feel professionally supported, creatively inspired, and genuinely valued.
